Join us as a volunteer and help support people who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence in Cornwall, Devon and Wiltshire.

Office volunteer – Cornwall

If you have administration skills and other office-based skills, we are looking for Admin Volunteers in Threemilestone, Truro now.

Training is provided (two days) and we ask for a minimum commitment of five hours per week.

Helpline volunteer – Cornwall

Our crisis response helpline in Cornwall is covered by staff and volunteers, 09:00-17:00, Mondays to Fridays.

The minimum volunteer commitment is five hours per week as well as seven days of training.

Applications are now open to commence training on Wednesday 11 September 2019.

Fundraising volunteer – Cornwall or Plymouth

We are looking for Fundraising Volunteers to organise events, collect donations, connect with local businesses, and raise awareness.

This is a flexible volunteer role and there is no minimum time commitment. Training is provided (one day).

Triage volunteer – Plymouth

We need volunteers to provide a pro-active triage service to people affected by sexual violence and sexual abuse.

This volunteer role is based at our Plymouth office alongside the Devon and Cornwall Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Team.

We are currently not seeking applications but do hold a waiting list.

Please note that if you have been a client for any of First Light services, we ask that you have been out of service for at least 12 months before joining us as a volunteer. We also require all volunteers to provide two references and undertake an enhanced DBS check.
