Survivors Voices

If you have experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence in your life, your feedback on the services available and the support you received is important to us.

Your voice could help improve services, change policies to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence, and inspire others to come forward for help.

As a lived experience volunteer, you can get involved by providing your feedback in surveys or consultations, attending focus groups, or even sharing your story

Your story can be very powerful in helping others to see the light at the end of the tunnel and your experience helps us to grow, to change, and to make sure we’re providing the very best service.

At First Light, we have two dedicated People Engagement workers who will listen to what you have to say and help to get you involved.

If you’d like to hear more about how you can make a difference, please get in touch with them for more information:
Victoria (domestic abuse lead) on [email protected]
Emily (sexual violence lead) [email protected]

You can only improve things if there is knowledge of how to improve, or even, awareness of something that could be improved. Not only that, I feel it’s important to give positive feedback too, it’s great for moral and nice to know you’re making a difference.”

The facilities of giving feedback have been great, responsive, open and honestly very interesting. I feel as if my thoughts and opinions matter.”
