Domestic Abuse Support Advisor – Full Time

Positions available: 1
Salary: £23,400 per annum rising to £23,868 per annum on successful completion of probation.
Hours: 37.5 per week
Holiday: 25 days rising incrementally to 30 days after five years, plus all bank holidays.
Base: North and East Cornwall. Hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent
Key responsibilities:
  • Support clients through the referral pathway from crisis to recovery.
  • Ensure clients feel supported, listened to and believed.
  • Act as a nominated case manager and point of contact for clients and their families.
  • Support safety planning, monitor risk (including escalation to high risk IDVA and safeguarding concerns.
  • Broker recovery support packages (recovery programs, therapy, peer support, onward referral and access to surgeries across CIOS)
  • Provide continuity of support to all clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic case management records.
  • Conduct regular reviews of risk and needs, and use a trauma informed approach to keeping clients and their families safe.
  • Review service plans and document progress to assist in a plan to move to independent sustainable living.
  • Manage case loads ensuring the service is user centered, cost effective, efficient and responsive to the needs of clients and professionals.
  • Facilitate outreach and drop-in services in community-based locations across Cornwall and the IOS
Essential requirements:
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle
