Swindon & Wiltshire

We offer different services in different parts of the UK.
In Swindon & Wiltshire you can access the following services:

Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

We run the Swindon and Wiltshire Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), offering immediate help to anyone who has experienced a recent or non-recent rape or sexual assault in Wiltshire.

If you’ve been raped or sexually assaulted, no matter how long ago, you can contact the SARC directly with or without police involvement. If you decide to report to the police, they may refer you to our service for support.

If you have experienced rape or sexual assault recently, you may be offered an appointment to visit the SARC. During your appointment you may be offered a forensic medical examination. Forensic medical examinations are completed by an experienced and specialist doctor or nurse called a Sexual Offences Examiner. A forensic medical examination may offer the opportunity to retrieve evidence that could be used if and when you choose to report to the police.

Independent Sexual Violence Advisory (ISVA) Service

Our Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) support people who have experienced a recent or historic rape, or serious sexual assault and have reported it to the Police. They will support you on your journey through the criminal justice system. If an offence has not yet been reported, we can also offer support to look at the options available to you.

Find out more about the ISVA service.

For information and advice about the support we can provide you at the SARC, contact us by calling 01793 781916.

If you have been sexually assaulted or raped in a different area of the UK, you can contact your local SARC for support.
