We are delighted to share that the BBC Spotlight – Family DASA Project for Domestic Abuse story from last year (16 Days of Action) has been shortlisted for the 2025 BSAW Journalism Awards. This is an incredible achievement, and Hannah, who shared her experience, was thrilled about the nomination.
This recognition highlights the incredible collaborative work between the Safer Futures Family DASA team, Cornwall Council, and Cornwall Social Care team. Together, they offer practical and emotional support to anyone experiencing domestic abuse. By working with the BBC Spotlight team and Tasmin Melville, they created a safe and supportive environment for Hannah to share her story and showcase the remarkable work happening across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
