Supporting Your Coaches, Volunteers, Players and Fans with First Light

At First Light, we understand the vital role sports play in identifying and supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence, and church-related abuse. Whether you’re a club owner, coach, volunteer, player, fan or parent or carer of a player, your ability to respond with compassion and knowledge can be life-changing.

How you can help

We offer a range of services and resources to help you support your clients effectively:

  • Referral Pathways
    Make a direct referral to First Light’s services across Devon, Cornwall, Isles of Scilly, Swindon, Wiltshire, and Gloucestershire. Our team will respond promptly and sensitively.
  • Training & Education
    Access trauma-informed training designed to equip professionals with the skills to recognise abuse, respond appropriately, and understand the impact of trauma.
  • Consultation & Advice
    Our specialists are available to provide guidance on complex cases, safeguarding concerns, and best practices for supporting survivors.
  • Resources for Clients
    We provide leaflets, easy-read materials, and digital resources to help your clients understand their options and feel empowered to seek help.
