Helpline Volunteers – Cornwall

We are currently recruiting for Helpline Response Volunteers in Threemilestone, Truro. Applications are open to commence training in April 2020.

Our crisis response helpline in Cornwall is covered by staff and volunteers, 09:00-17:00, Mondays to Fridays. The minimum volunteer commitment is five hours per week as well as seven days of training (one day per week for seven weeks).

Training will run from Weds 29th April to Weds 17th June 2020 (one day per week for eight weeks excluding Weds 27th May). The deadline for applications is 13th March and interviews will take place on 18th March.

Office Volunteers – Cornwall

We recruit Admin Volunteers to help support the team at our office in Threemilestone, Truro. If you have administration skills and office-based experience, we’d love to hear from you!

Triage Volunteers – Plymouth

Register interest

We also work with ISVA Triage Volunteers to provide a pro-active triage service to people affected by sexual violence and sexual abuse. This role is based in our Plymouth office alongside our Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Team.

Please note that if you have been a client for any of First Light services, we ask that you have been out of service for at least 12 months before joining us as a volunteer. We also require all volunteers to provide two references and undertake an enhanced DBS check.
